Just got back from seeing Red Riding Hood with my daughter and my grandson Forget about the negative critics and reviews, the movie was awesome! We loved it!

First thing: I think that Gary's performance as Father Solomon was played very well. Gary's hair had a Garylicious. I want to say more about him, and the movie, but I don't want to give anything away, so I will just wait to discuss it further.

Peter aka Shiloh Fernandez is a hottie. *swoons* The wolf was sexy ,and fierce. Me and my daughter tried our best to guess who we thought the wolf, but each time our guess was wrong. So it's not obvious. The soundtrack was amazing, and it fit very well with the intense scenes of the movie.

I recommend everyone to go see it regardless of what the critics say!

Chapter 7

Dying to be free

Those voices within became more frequent. Kiefer tried to ignore them, but he kept hearing his dads voice in his head, yelling & screaming. Every little happiness Kiefer tried to grasp, the torment in his head spoiled it.

Then on the morning of June 7th, Kiefer didn't get up to use the bathroom, like he normally did. Kandice & Sunset didn't think much of it, but checked on him anyway. There they found Kiefer asleep. Kandice tried to wake him. She don't know why, but she felt something wasn't right. Hey Kas, as she nudged him. Kas wake up she said. Sunset he's not responding call 911! Kandice call out to Kiefer again & this time he mumbled something, but he was barely conscious. "Kas, what did you do"? "Tell us what you took"! The ambulance was there within minutes & rushed Kiefer to the hospital.

Kiefer had tried to end his life. Every day for several weeks he was giving a pill a day & instead of swallowing them, he faked doing so. Kiefer had swallowed 5 pills at once & he was very lucky to be alive.

Chapter 6

Voices Within

Over the next couple of months having Kandice there was helping Kiefer to deal with what happened. Kandice had not been aware of the abuse. Her being away at college kept her away from home. She did remember coming home one time during spring break & Kiefer being so happy to see her. When she left, Kiefer cried like a baby for her not to go. At the time, she thought he was just reacting to really going to miss her. She remember's saying Kiefer, stop being so silly!. Could it have been then, that this was happening to him, she thought? How could she had known & if she had, how would his life be now?

Just as Kiefer was coming to terms with what happened & that it wasn't his fault, he had a set back. It was the night of June 6th when Kiefer had a good counseling session, he was feeling rather tired, so he retired early. He fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. Then the voices started over & over in his head. It went like this:

Kiefer age 9 & dad

Kiefer:"Daddy where are we going"?
Dad: There is a special place, I wanna show you
Kiefer: "Can we get icecream afterwards"?
Dad: Only if you make me happy. You can do that for your dad, right?
Kiefer: Yes, daddy I will
Dad: I know you will, cause you know what will happen, if you don't get it right the first time, right?

Chapter 5

Kandice Sutherland

It had 6 months since Sunrise discovered that Kiefer had been abused by his dad from the time he was 6 to 12 years old. As Kiefer's couseling sessions went on, it was also discovered that he was abused in many other ways as well.

Kiefer became more & more depressed. He slept half the day & the other half, he stayed in his room. Sunrise tried to more to him beyond medcally, but Kiefer shut her out, so she did only what was needed.

One afternoon, Kiefer was having one of those days & then there was a knock on the door. It was Kiefer's sister Kandice who traveled all the way from Texas to see her step brother. 'How is he, she asked"? "He's not well, Sunset said". "Can I see him, Kandice asked"? Sure, Sunset said. Kandice opened the door to find Kiefer sitting in a blue wickered chair, looking out the window & smoking a cigarette. If anyone could reach him, it would be her.

Hey Kas(as she'd call him when he was young standing for Kiefer Anthony Sutherland). Kiefer doesn't make contact, & continues to puff on his Malboro cigarette. "Everything is going to be okay, Kandice said". Kiefer. Hey Kas, I brought you something , Kandice said. " Remember I brought you these when you got your tonsils out? Kandice handed him the box of salt water taffy. Kiefer looks, but then turns away. Kandice, gets up, goes to Kiefer, strkes his hair & begins to sing:

I'll always come for you
even in your darkest hour
lay your head on my shoulder
our love is strong, feel the power

Kiefer looks up at Kandice with a tear in his eye. Hey Kas, as she kisses him. I'm here & everything is going to be okay.

Chapter 4 (caution when reading contains sensitive material)

Daddy's Demons

After Kiefer's overnight stay in the hospital, it was clear that he was a very sick troubled man. Kiefer moved out of his trailer apartment & into a 2 bedroom medical facility with Sunrise as his live-in nurse. He was now seeing a counselor 3 times a week & he was no longer able to go out alone.

Over the next six months Sunrise & Kiefer formed a special bond. Kiefer often came off as hard & angry, but Sunrise didn't take it personal. In counseling, Kiefer would open up alittle more each visit, but then he would shut down just as easily. When that happened, it was hard to reach him again & it was like starting all over.

On the morning of June 2, Sunrise awoke to find Kiefer in a closet, naked & in tears. As she reached out to him, Kiefer jumped, turned around, looked into Sunrise's eyes & said he was sorry., & that he'll do it right next time daddy. At that time, Sunrise no longer seen a troubled man, she saw a little boy who had been abused.

Chapter 3

Mississippi County Hospital

When Kiefer came to, he was resting comfortably in a Mississippi Hospital. " Hey we meet again". Sunrise Zonzet. "How do you feel"? Kiefer tries to get up! " Hey, hey you're not going anywhwere. We want you to stay here overnight for obsevation. You were passed out on your bathroom floor. "Can you tell me how you hurt your hand"? "Do you remember what happened", Sunrise asks?

Kiefer tries to get up again. Sunrise tries to prevent him. " Don't f**kin' touch me Kiefer says." I need to get home. My father is coming home. He expects me. I can't be late.

Sunrise quickly calls for a doctor & needs to be subdued & given a sedative., Before he goes out he yells " Daddy, I'm coming, i'll be there.

Chapter 2

(D)riving/(D)addy/(D)elusional

Kiefer sped off. His last statement to Sunrise may have came true if he wasn't pulled over for speeding. F**k! he says & pulls over. "Do you know how fast you were going sir, the woman asks"? Kiefer wasn't too keen on being detained & with his headache, he was in no mood. "I asked you a question sir, now I need your license & registration please?

After Kiefer retrieves his papers, he looks up." Kiefer is that you? It's me Harmony. Harmony Hart from Harbourview. Hey, how are you? "So you work for the MPD now"? (not really caring). "Yes, I do, Harmony says". "Do you know you could have killed someone or yourself back there driving like that"? "What's got you so spooked"? "Can I just get a ticket & go, Kiefer says"! Well... um sure. Kiefer takes the ticket, says thanks & then drives off. "Drive slower Harmony says in the distance"

Kiefer reaches home & immediately searches for a pill to kill the pain in his head. Later he drifts off. It wasn't long, before a ringing noise startles him & he jumps up. It was the phone. Hello, Kiefer says. Nobody answers. Hello again Kiefer says. This time there was a man's voice on the other end. It was Kiefer's father. "I'm coming home son, his father said. I know your going to be there & I wanna hear all about it" Okay dad, Kiefer said! A woman's voice yelled, Kiefer what are you doing?

Kiefer slammed down the phone or so he thought, but it was a drinking glass that shattered & filled his hand with blood. Kiefer wasn't talking to anybody, let alone his father. Both of his parents were deceased. Kiefer looked down at his hand. f**k!, Kiefer said & ran to the bathroom. There, Kiefer felt light headed & blacked out.

Chapter 1

It was a warm, cool night when Kiefer pulled over to the side of this isolated road in Flower, Mississippi, a small town where those voices in his head resurfaced. He could never make sense of what they were saying. All he felt was the thriving pain they caused & the feeling that he'd lost time unaccounted for after each one.

This vision wasn't like the others he had experienced. This time Kiefer could see a image. An image of someone coming towards him & Kiefer reaching out his hand & that was it. Nights also for Kiefer were unbearable. The visons interrupted any peaceful night & kept him up most of the time. He had to take a form of sleeping pill just to get a good night's rest. It was no surprise to the folks of Mississippi that Kiefer's first & only relationship to the former Miori Denney ended in divorce.

One night while Miori slept in the bedroom they once shared Kiefer stormed in room with a knife, forced Miori to get up, get dressed & tell him why she was leaving him. (this was on their wedding night). He became so violent that night, the police were called, arrested Kiefer, but later released & sent him to a hospital for evaluation. Miori, left Kiefer 2 years later.

The pain in Kiefer's head had intensified. He pounded on the steering wheel for it to go away. Suddenly everything went black. The next thing Kiefer knew there was a woman banging on his car window.

The Woman: "Hey! Hey! you okay the woman asked"?

Kiefer rolled down the window, looking like he just woke up & a tear in his eye

Kiefer: "I'm fine. Leave me alone!

The woman paused her thoughts & just starred.

Kiefer: "What are you staring at, he yelled!
The Woman: "I'm sorry, but I never seen a man do that".
Kiefer: "Do what?
The Woman: "Cry, she said".
Kiefer: "Yeah, well my friend died (Kiefer lies convincingly).
The Woman:I'm sorry for your loss. My name is Sunrise by the way.
Kiefer:"Yeah well that's nice, but I gotta go.
Sunrise: "Are you sure you're okay sir, you don't look so well".

Kiefer: "What part of I'm fine didn't you understand? "Sunrise, is that your name? Let me give you a piece of advice. If I were you, I'd run as fast as I could from me. I'm a disaster waiting to happen. I destroy anything & everything I touch. I'm better off dead.
